Hope you get good word on your galaxies.
At least you have a great machine in a Janome. I had the first computerized one - the Janome Memory 7. It is now well over 30years old and still working and never needed a repair. Loved it. So when I saw the newer machines that did embroidery I didn't hesitate to get a Janome - it also is a work horse.
Have fun!
No, definitely the Brother was (and maybe will be again) a very good, useful and trouble free machine for approx. 15 years. Only then it started to fail now and then and in the end she did nothing at all and the display went crazy somehow. I am interested what Brother will find out and let you know. But - as it is - sometimes worse turns to good and therefore I am happy with the Janome. Shall send some projects soon :-) Maria
You will love your new Janome 500e, and have lots of fun embroidering with the bigger hoops. Good Luck with the Brother, I hope that the repairer can do something for you. Sandra.
I am glad you still have a machine to play with and hope your old friend is repairable.
I also have a brother Galaxie which cannot be repaired but am still reluctant to take it to the tip it gave me years of enjoyment and I just can't bring myself to throw it out.
For my I also still hope it can be reused as a sewing machine in case they can partially fix the problem. Yes, I can understand you - it was (is) a good companion over many years of stitching and it was (is) a big value too.
