I have the pr600, love it love it love it lol xx
I love the embroidery size field the most up to 200 x 300 mm,
I have not used anything pre loaded designs on the machine as I use embird and a direct usb link to my pc, can load 6 colours, its funny how I now seem to limit colours to the 6 so I can run a design all in one go.. I also find it much easier to hoop all sorts of items to go on the machine.. its a dream xx, my tip is to use pre wound bobbins where possible as you get through them quick on the larger designs they are so convenient
have fun
big hugs from London xx
Love Brother machines. Have the 6 needle prior to the 655. Feel the embroidery is more professional looking. Truly wanted it because I was tired of constantly changing thread colors on my single needle. Unfortunately, I have not used the 6 needle as much since getting my dream machine which has the larger embroidery field.. The 6 will only sew 7in back to front.
I seldom use my Dream Machine. I need lessons! Use my Babaylock Endurance all the time.
I don't have this machine but I have the babylock Enterprise 10 needle... Mine came with the stand... These machine are great... They are work horses and very little goes wrong with them. Fairly easy to operate "user Friendly" I love mine so I am guessing you will love the Brother 6 needle too. Do you have a dealer near you that you could test drive it? Good luck!! Hope this helps!
Thanks Asterixsew... so it must have the stand? My son is thinking it will stand on a metal table height filing cabinet I have... How long have you had your machine and what type of thread do you use... do you get much thread breakage? Again thanks!!
No the machine doesn't need the metal table, its one of the nice extras. Mine is on a small wooden table so whatever you have it on needs to be strong and solid. The machine cannot be moved by one person. I use the same thread as I use on my Brother Galaxie 3000 which is a wide selection. I have taken to buying 5,000m spools of mainly Madeira. Like any embroidery machine it works beautifully and any problems are of operator fault more than the machine. I have had the machine a few years, leading up to moving house and settling in to the new one sadly I haven't had the opportunity to use it much but am getting ready to.
I have a PR650 and its great. Make sure you have the space it needs.
