This is SHOP HOP Weekend in S. Tx. (u visit shops participating in hop) You get a free"square". When you visit all the shops in Hop you will have a some free squares to make a quilt or a pillow.2 friends & I went to the towns farthest away yesterday.We left the close shops(within 50 miles for Saturday)On the way to one very isolated shop we stopped to check our map. Lo and behold A Vintage car show! Needless to say I forgot all about the quilt hop! Had a great time just sitting in the beautiful cars. But the best was a restored Ford Pick-up. Will post picture as soon as I figure out how to transfer it from cell. We were the only women in the crowd. ALL OLDER men, we had a great time.

Shop and hop sounds great fun and something I have never heard of before. Glad that you were able to see some vintage cars too and have fun with them. I enjoyed seeing all the vintage cars that appeared for a lunch break a few weeks ago. I posted a picture here of a few of the cars

That sounds like a whole lot of fun. I love it when we have the vintage car exhibit in our town. Brings back a lot of memories. Those were th times when you could tell right away one car from another. Today they all look alike.

Enjoying your time, and with a friend is what is most important. Likely you have enough material you could have been a stop along the hop yourself without making much of a dent in your own fabric stash. Glad you had fun. Now you can pull out your own materials and pretend you picked them up along your route and see if you can make a bit more dent in your stash, a create a quilt or pillows as you were thinking you may do with the squares you were going to be getting. I know you would still be reminiscing about the beautiful antique cars you were able to sit in and admire. So glad you had a fun time!! Pam
