Congrats chubbylilblkcat. So glad you decided on the PE 700. As to the tension , mine came set but check out the manual before you make any changes. . Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine. A flower for you.

You may want to go to the review section at the top. Some people have written comments there about their machines.

There are a slew of people with this machine on the SewForum.com chat. Look under the embroidery forum. You have to become a member first and login but it is free and warning! addictive :-)

Have a Brother ULT, I don't change my tension. Like the others have mentioned use good bobbin thread. If it is a new machine the tension should be perfect...Enjoy ...

I have a Brother Innovis, and my machine tends to be very fussy about the bobbin thread I use. I have been told to stick to Brother bobbin thread. Using it seems to solve the tension problems.

It should already b set at the right tension, but please read your manual & familiarize your self with everything. Yrs of experience has taught me not to b so gung ho that I did not peruse the manual from frnt to back before starting. *4U

Hi
I Have the same machine. Dont fiddle with the tension. Keep
it set like you've bought it. See that you use a good bobbinthread.
Keep addicted. It's the best hobby there is.
