Update on my daughter's broken hip. It has been 6 weeks using crutches, wheel chair, and walker. The doctor said it healing good but 4 more weeks of therapy. She can walk 25% of her weight on her left leg the first week and add 25 to the next 3 weeks. So I will be helping her some more but not every day. Thanks for your prayers damaris

Dee- How blessed she is to have you helping. Her progress is great. Try to keep encouraging her to be patient so she does not over do and cause damage. Making sure she has options at each place she tends to be during the day. Options to do things you love is critical to help not get depressed. Having 2 or 3 options in bed, in the recliner or on the couch and options in the office or craft room. Options to have someone able to help drive to a store are all ways to help lift the spirits. If your daughter has an online group like cute, but in her own line of interests, if she is not into machine embroidery, the on line groups can be for medical conditions to simple game groups or even jig saw puzzles. So many options on line to help connect to others with the same interests. Thank You for the update! Pam

It's good to get an update and even better to hear she is healing. Kudos to the 2 of you. I know it's been a tough 6 weeks but she is more than 1/2 way through the worst of it.

Glad to know it is healing. So good that you can help her, too. I know she must appreciate you. I was thankful to have my husband to help me. I shutter to think what I would have done if I lived alone. I hope she continues to improve and you can stay well to help her.-Toogie

Sounds like she is getting there. It must be really challenging physically and mentally.
