UPDATE:
Meganne is home and still in a lot of pain, but I know that being around Ray and her furbabies will help her to heal faster.
Just sleeping in her own bed will do wonders.
She will update us all when she can, but please continue to send hugs and prayers...
Hugs and prayers to dear Meganne. Hope you are up and running real soon.
I spoke with Meg last night and she is doing O.K. Sore of course but keeping her fighting spirit going. I'll be going down to visit her once she gets home, which is of course once she can handle the "stairs" test they give you.
Ray has been remodelling her 'woman cave'. He has gyp-rocked the walls, built cupboards for all of her machines and they've had electricians in putting in many sockets for everything. The bathroom will also be updated. He has been working like a Trojan. He is of course trying to get this all done in between visiting Meg.
I explained to Meg I can't get down due to my commitments with our families and she understands. I can't wait to show her the wedding pictures - they were both invited but just couldn't come, due to her state of health. Please continue to pray for her, she's my very dear friend. Love Chris
From Dallas, Texas, USA, Wishing you well! I had the left knee and right hip just a few years ago and have done so great! How nice it is to not haave all the pain and discomfort prior to surgery and wake up to find there was real relief waiting for me. And it just keeps getting better. Prayers are with you and how glad I am you were brave enough to go ahead and have the job done Whee, it's over and good days ahead! Jerry-age 87
Thank you so much for the updates Jerri. I do so hope that Meg will be out of pain very soon. We are all gunning for you Meg.
Meg,so sorry to hear you are having a hard time. Prayers to both you and Ray..Stella
Another Update on Meganne:
Walking on my own now with a frame and pain isn't as excruciating. It's tough for me because I am intolerant to most of the good pain killers and hey, 2 Panadol REALLY don't do much. LOL!
Please thank Cuties for all their loving support, it sure worked at 2:30 AM when my heart flipped out..... woke me up and allowed me to get medical assistance immediately.
I'm sorry I can't get online very easily as I am still in intensive care.
I'm having an Angiogram on Tuesday so really appreciate prayers that I get through it. People die having Angiograms, so it's a bit scary, especially with my arteries, having already had one major bleed out.
I still have tightness in my chest, so I hope they find and fix the cause of it
This is an update from Meganne:
Have had a pretty rough three days, had to put up with terrible pain because of my allergies to pain killers. Rushed into ICU at 2:30 am as heart went into AF. Cardiologist be here later.
I'm not feeling very well
Heard briefly rom Meg.
She was having a lot of pain, dizziness and constant vomiting. Her knee swelled up badly, that the bandages were too tight and cut off her circulation, which made the pain worse.
I do pray the end result will be worth what she is going through.
She is a trooper, but pain is hard to deal with.
Please keep her in your prayers...
Hugs
My prayers for her. Wishing her speedy recovery and back to wonderful days of embroidery and sewing.
My Prayers are going out to her, Hope she does her exercises faithfully, even though they hurt... Been there, no fun...
I don't have an update yet, but maybe someone who lives closer will hear from her or Ray.
I live in BC Canada, so may not hear for a day or so.
I just pray all went well and she will be back to her self soon.
Thank you all for you comments, prayer and words of encouragement. I know it meant a lot to her before she went into the hospital.
Hugs
J'adresserai des prières à votre amie Meg, pour un très bon rétablissement, Cricri de Paris, France

It's going to be rough when you are very active anyway. My prayers are with her for success in the surgery and healing and grit for the P.T.

She is already in my prayers. Our Meg is a FIGHTER, with God's help she will get through all this. God Bless her/Lillian

Thanks so much, Jerri for letting us know......our neighbor just had one done in November last year and it was a breeze for her......she is out doing her own lawn work, whereas before the replacement she had to have lawn service......will send prayers Meg's way!!
These days this operation is a huge success. DH has a friend that had both knees done together. He is now back on the tennis court. I wish Meg a speedy recovery. I am sure she will soon be pain free.
Hugs Sarah
Hugs and prayers meganne. You will find the strength you need to get you through.
Meganne has my prayers. She's a special cutie so deserves every onPlease keep us informed until she is able to talk to us herself. Here's a piece of good news for her. I've known several people who have had knee replacements and all are in much better shape without all of that pain.
Meganne, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers...wishing smooth sailing for your surgery and a very speedy recovery...
Positive thoughts for Meganne. My younger daughters mil had this op 10 days ago and is doing fine. My older daughter was the nurse in recovery with her. Nothing like keeping it in the family. Its a bit too far and too late to send the daughter over to help with the recovery after Megs op as its something she does often
Thank you so much for your encouraging words of comfort my dear friend.
It seems the more surgeries I have the tougher they are to face, (knowing all the ins and outs isn't always a good thing), so I appreciate your loving support and prayers more than I can express.
I'm drawing on all my reserves for this one but that will be a little easier thanks to the support and prayers of my Cute family. Thank you all so very much.
Eight and a half hours and counting down.
I doubt I'll get much sleep tonight but I still have my bag to pack and some files to move onto my laptop so I can do some digitising if I am up to it.
Thank you to everyone. Hugs n roses, M
My thoughts and prayers are with you Meganne, hugs from Maureen in South Africa
5 hours so until you are due to the hospital. I hope you are getting some sleep and are all packed. Prayers will continue to be said in your behalf today and in coming days for quick healing and those who will be over your medical care. In the states I have seen patients put messages like "this knee" or "not this knee, the other one" etc. Just to make sure the correct body part is worked on. Having had 4 brain surgeries now, I have even heard of some of them putting messages on other body parts saying if you are seeing this, you are on the wrong end of where you should be. Hope your surgery goes better than you hope and you have a calm peaceful heart through your coming days of healing. (((Hugs too))) Pam
Hang in there girl! I know of "what" I speak. 13 years ago I had a tumor inside my spinal cord and it would kill me if not removed. The prognosis was not good for me ever walking again. I can walk, but I sort of stagger, lost my beloved job in Alaska, but hubby stayed. This is how I got into embroidery, he bought me a machine to keep me occupied and learn something new that might take my mind off of my troubles. Then I became severely crippled, couldn't drive, used a walker and it hurt to sit at the machine. After six years of being ignored I was finally diagnosed with degenerative arthritis, I almost didn't have a hip joint anymore. I was so happy and full of hope that I might be able to walk unaided again, it was just unbelievable. Right after I had my hip replacement I cried and cried and cried because it didn't hurt anymore and I could walk.........................Then my left knee went bye bye. So in less than two years I had a hip replacement and both knees replaced. Each time that I would have a replacement and get through my rehab, I needed another replacement. I just thought to myself that if this was years ago, I would have been propped up in a corner and fed laudanum until I was no more. I am so grateful to be able to do this wonderful craft, to sit at the machine, I drive, shop, mow the grass (riding mower) and wish I had a riding vacuum cleaner............but alas................My best to you dear lady, I have enjoyed your company on this site and my prayers are with you for good competent doctors, faith and healing. Don't forget to do your rehab, it is so very important. God Bless You, he sure did me.
Keep strong, think positive. Sending prayers for you and your family. Be patient about healing, too
Prayers going her way, hope it is not too difficiult for her, she is strong and courageous and with all these prayers, she will have a great help in getting back to 100%.
hugs
Michelle

Thank you Jerri for letting us know, have sent her a message. Sandra.
Thankyou Jerrri for sharing this with us Aussie's x Others. Knowing that you have support, when you go through surgery all helps.I will be keeping Meganne in my prayers. Janette
Will certainly be praying. It's not easy. At not quite two weeks, I have traded bone pain for muscle pain, but I know the muscle pain will go away.
Jerri, what is Meganne's cute name, I tried PM ing her but it did not recognize that name..... thanks --- Never mind I figured it out he he (the name was case sensitive!)
Praying. I think you will be surprised at how much better you are going to feel! Yes, pain for a short time, but a couple months out you're going to say, "Wow! I'm walking without pain!" Do your PT and you'll be up and kicking in no time!!!
Meg you know I love you and I really got a kick out of you taking your on Cat Scanner with you. I Loved that pic. Chin up my friend, we have you covered/Lillian
