I have just had a very near calamity. My machine was just stitching the front and back together of yet another zip bag, when there was a terrible noise and my machine ground to a halt. I had obviously knocked over a small cotton reel and the arm of the machine was dragging the reel along. I cleared it and started the machine again but it was out of alignment and it sewed the back on in the wrong place. I ended up using my sewing machine.

In future I will make sure that there is nothing behind my machine.

I had a scare early on as I did not have enough clearance behind the machine and the arm and hoop hit the wall. ugh! Good to know. as I look over and see a recently placed tape dispenser behind a machine. Lol!

I hope she doesn't have any strains or breaks this morning when you give her another try. That is so disappointing when we are going along so well to have it end like this. I'm glad your bag was recoverable. Fingers crossed for the machine.

The machine seems to be fine. I put it through a few paces this morning and no problems.

Oh Sarah, yes I think a lot of us have done a similar thing, noise of any kind from your machine is scary. Glad you were able to finish your project and all is well. Sandra.

The bag is not perfect but I am not wasting it just because it is slightly skew.

I hope all will be well now and the machine has reset itself. That was a painful lesson. I'm glad you shared with us so we avoid doing the same thing.

Thanks Karen. I only have a very small place to work and I am amazed that it has never happened before.

All's well that ends well as they say...but it can be so annoying having machine problems alone the way. Glad you were able to save it.

Oops yes I have done that too. My cat usually likes to knock over my threads behind my machine. Hope your machine is ok

It made the most terrible noise. I was amazed that the needle did not break.
