I have made a doily with a lace bow - love making new doilies and the temptation with this design was too strong - and this is the result :-)

109774Lidia, you keep showing us how to think outside the box...love it! How do you manage to make the fabric centre? I'm assuming that you use w/s stabilizer but when do you cut away the fabric to give the lace edging? Using your ideas I stitched out a doily with Sue's geranium corner and her versatile doily #1 yesterday...I just put it to soak to remove the w/s stabilizer so it's not ready for a picture yet. Maybe later!!

Thanks for your comment. In order to attach the fabric centre to the water soluble stabilizer, I have created an inner contour stitching in my software. After the contour stitching has been stitched out onto the fabric, I have trimmed the fabric and then stitched the free-standing lace design. I can't wait to see your geranium doily :-)
