The past few months have been difficult. In June we returned from our final trip teaching English in China. We knew that chapter of our lives was over and wondered what the future would hold. Winter came with a vengeance and our county had horrendous flooding issues, which thankfully didn't affect us like it did many others. Thank goodness for sump pumps. We decided in the spring we would downsize to a smaller home and yard. We found a house we loved and put our house on the market. Our home had the first offer 15 minutes after we left the house, the first day it was shown. Another offer came the next day that we accepted. However, the people making the purchase have hit a snag with the sale of their home, and we have had to move the closure date back two different times. We have already packed and moved into our new home, and once we are settled (if that ever happens) we will love it. We are 5-10 minutes from two of our children, and 15 from another. It is so convenient living in the city with everything so easily accessible. I would appreciate all prayers that the owners to be will be able to close the loan within the new deadline time. That means they will close and take ownership the first or second week of June. Taking care of two places is taxing us. Thanks so much for your prayers.

You have certainly had an exciting time of it the last few years with your trips to China. And now this new chapter. I hope everything settles down quickly for you and you can enjoy your new home and all it offers with less stress and more time to relax. Hang in there, I know God has you safe in His hands,

Hi, its about two years since my husband and I moved after 33 years in one home. Our elder daughter and family moved into our home and we moved out 6 months later. By then we had found a new home. Its great fun and I still and probably never will find some of my stuff but have got beyond caring. Our new home is two minutes walk from the fabric shop and there are so many plus points to our new home. AND I get to see my old home at least twice a week when I go to look after the grandsons. Buying and selling houses is different all over the world but is probably a hassle everywhere. Once all is sorted I hope that you have many happy years in your new home

I'm sure two months from now I'll be much more settled and feel less stress. I have to keep reminding myself, This too shall pass.

Selling and buying homes is a stressful time. Best of luck and hope it goes smoothly from here on out.

What a glorious new chapter in our lives and congrats on the new house. I know how taxing it can be to take care of two places. It can be physically, emotionally and financially draining. We don't know God's plan, but everything has a purpose. This too will pass. Sending prayers for speedy sale- finally. Also sending prayers of comfort for you and your family during this trying time. Deb from Mich.
