UPDATED BELOW---Hello Cuties,
I made this check book to go with the bag I made yesterday, in Community Sewing. I did remember to embroider my mark on it! I hope when I go back to JoAnns they have another fat quarter, like the outer bag and this trim, so I can use it to make the outer side of a wallet to match it all.

UPDATE-Thursday-Good day Cuties-I went to JoAnn's last night and picked up another fat quarter. This time they were $2.50 (!) instead of the 99 cents I paid Saturday, for the first two I used on the bag/tote.I did have a 15% off so $2.12 plus tax, still more than I like to pay for a FQ, even though I do love this steampunk look fabric.
Anyway, here's the wallet I made. I just love making these! You can use it with or without the check book inside.The backside has a zipper pocket for coins. I put a magnetic snap for closure just like I used on the bag. I included the bag, as I now have gone back and put my mark I forgot to emb. This completes the set....unless I make an eyeglass case,ITH small case, etc-lol

DebB, the FQ were on sale again for $1. Of course since I had more of the other fabrics, I had to get some more FQ's.-lol

I know you're right. Also, there are places that give Senior Citizen discounts but only if you ASK for it. That's a shame because sometimes you forget.---thanks about the set!

Thank you I wish this fabric was in more of a spring/ summer color. This looks more like a winter color, but I do like these colors.

Thank you Avis. I pick up fabric when it catches my eye or when on sale. I may not know what I will make with it, when I buy it, but I have it on hand when I do decide. The black/gray/white circle fabric I got a lot of on sale. I have made two crossbody bags and now used it in this project. This is the first time I have used the 'tweed' look green/ black.

My "stash" has many pieces I've bought just because they caught my eye and always at a great price on sale! Now that I'm retired I'm finding that I can "shop" in my cupboard as we don't have any fabric/quilt shops in this small town. You inspire me to look again at what I have and I do love making bags. I've never thought of posting my bags; I think I've only posted doilies...inspired by Lidia and using my software to manipulate designs. I will try and take some pictures later today of things I have on hand that haven't sold yet. Although I've been on this site for awhile it's not until lately that I've tried taking pictures and posting them. A bit chicken when I see everyone else's work maybe!!

Well now I have the wallet-lol
My friend got a vinyl tote from Walmart from her daughter and her daughter had her monogram emb on. I love it. Hers is a buckskin color with black or navy monogram, what ever the inside color is.

I want to make a wallet, which I have the pattern for. It doesn't come with a checkbook, so I have to make one to fit in it, as I still write checks. My grown kids say I must be the only one....everyone uses debit cards Mom! Everyone but you!----Thanks Maria
