Wow, what a generous christmas gift, am sure they will be appreciated.
Luv, Mary
Chris, your projects always blow me away! I sure hope your ladies know just how lucky they are to have you as a friend! Hugs*, Deb
Thanks Deb, I'm sure they do. They are all very appreciative, especially Meg, cause she knows how much time and effort goes into these things. Love Chris
Lovely! What if you went all floral for Christmas this year?
So beautiful, Chris......everything you do is so elegant!
I enjoy seeing stitchouts of that project! You always use fabrics that are so interesting to me. I want to see you quilt blocks too!
Thanks Penny, me too. There have been some fabulous fabrics used on Sweetpea. I'm not sure where you are from, but all my fabrics are bought at either Zig Zag sewing machine shop at Georgetown, Spotlight in Hunter Street, Newcastle and Thorpe's Sewing machine shop also in Hunter Street, Newcastle. If you click on my name and click on PROJECTS you will see my quilt blocks. Love Chris
Looks very pretty. Can't wait to see all the makes for it
Love your colours...Awesome design and Beautiful work done!!!
Love this design. It is stunning. Bet the ladies will love them also. Beautiful work. DebB
Thanks so much Debbie, I hope so. They usually love everything they get. Love Chris
Gorgeous colors and design. Wondering if these will be your place setting for each guest. Did you finish your quilt? If you did, I missed the pic of it. Trying to at least give flowers and look at everyone's projects.
Hi Patty, no it's not a place setting for my Christmas lunch. This is one centre-piece for one of Mum's friends (I hope). Each lady has different colours.
I haven't finished my quilt. I still have another 25 blocks to do but hopefully I'll get to that in the future. It's an ongoing project! Love Chris
Chris so sorry-just was able to get back and look to see if you commented-also-I should have asked---did your quilt square designs happen to come from Stitch Delight? They are beautiful and so is hers when I look on that site--anyways-your staying busy. You always do so many beautiful things--have a good day.
Beautiful work very neat. Thank you for sharing and hugs from France.
Lovely work Chris. I just love your colour palette.
This is very pretty! I considered buying that design but I had so much on the go already and wasn't sure just when I'd get to it. Well done! Avis
Hi Avis, I'd buy it and keep it in your files "things to do"! It's a great design. Love Chris
Do you have any idea of how long my "Things to Do" list is?!?!?!?! hehehe I would have to sew day and night and probably still wouldn't live long enough!! Avis
Lookin Good Girly****Do u remember who used to say this???
This turned out very nice, Chris. It looks so neat even when I look close up...I did notice this is not your usual christmas colors, reds and greens.
No, this isn't for me, it's for Mum's friend Val. Each lady has different colours. Love Chris
Lovely work Chris. I always admire your forward planning but as its your winter it is a suitable time to be inside sewing. A suggestion to the comment below of a vase. What about a clear one?
Hi Caroline, yes I've got a clear one, but no flowers in my garden to put in it, but as it's not for me it doesn't matter. And, yes, you are right it's winter here and quite cool.
(I LOVE IT). Love Chris
Looks beautiful with your colors, made 3 of them, they are great gifts. I make the table center and buy the flowers after showing the florist a foto to pick the matching flowers.
Hi Barbel, I wish I had a vase in the middle, but don't have one in these colours. I've asked the ladies for their colours and have received them, so now it's just a matter of time to get them done! Love Chris
Hi Chris, this table centre is gorgeous! I love the colours. I've been looking at it on Sweet Pea, and I think I will buy the pattern. Is it easy to make?
I've been thinking along the same lines as you - to make one each for the girls in my sewing group - I always make them something for Christmas.
Mary
Hi Mary, yes, it's very easy, just time consuming. I'm sure you know with applique it's a lot of cutting etc. I've got 7 more to make and the one I made is the 5x7 one, so there are only 7 petals. The larger ones have 8 petals. Love Chris
Thanks Chris. I will probably go ahead and buy it. It will be the 5x7, and I'd better get into it if they are time consuming - I will have to make 6.
Mary
