Lidia this is excellent very beautiful and so stunning .Have been a nice day
Your work is always perfection. If I tried to make one of these my machine would go on strike
Thank you, Sarah. Your machine wouldn't go on strike because the design isn't dense at all. That's a characteristic of the Battenberg style, it has much less stitches then other FSL and it's much quicker to stitch out. You can read their instructions on their website.

Beautiful. Would you please say the name of the design. Is it more
than one design? I looked on this site but fail to find the design.
Thank you.
First of all, welcome to Cute Embroidery!
This doily is called "FSL Battenberg Dancing Spiral Doily". To find it, open their Home page, scroll down to the bottom of their page and click "Shop". From their design "Category", select Freestanding Battenberg Lace, click "Doily", you will find this design in their page #2.
Thanks for your comment.

Yep! It is an advanced embroidery design for sure! The doily has a soft gentle feel about it that I love. Nicely done...and kudos to your machine for giving you such a nice stitchout!
This is beautiful. I can see it would have taken a while to stitch out
The Battenberg style of doilies, like this one, has much less stitches than other free-standing styles, and takes much less time to stitch out. Thanks for your comment.

thank you for the inspiration this looks really beautiful
Awesome! What else is there to say? I didn't realize just how different a cotton thread would change the look of stitch-out. What weight cotton do you use. I have a set with many colours that I've never even attempted to use. Maybe I will now. Avis
Thank you, Avis. The thread I have used is 50 weight 100% cotton. You can read all the instructions given for this type of free-standing lace on their website.

Beautiful design-it turned out gorgeous--haven't done a lot with the cotton threads but just ordered me some from a place called connectingthreads. It is just lovely.
I don't use cotton thread often because of the fluff it generates but I love the resulting doily. Thanks for letting us know where you are buying your cotton thread, I'll check it out. Thank you for your comment.

Very pretty, Lidia. Amazing how different thread changes the look. Avis
This doily can be stitched out using polyester thread as well but the result would be a finer textured doily. Thanks for your comment, Avis.

It is lovely...I love using cotton threads for these types of doilies...makes them look more like they have been hand made...
I love this kind of free-standing lace as well, Thanks for your comment.

Love this, looks with the cotton thread like done by hand. My Granddoughters are doing this together with her other grandma.Yours is gorgeous.
Thank you. I have never done it by hand and am happy to be able to do it with my embroidery machine.
