TIP.

How many times have you carefully put a ribbon into an ITH felt item and then cut it off at the last stage? I came up with a plan today. I stitched the placement outline on tear away stabiliser and then added the ribbons. I covered that with another piece of tear away before adding the felt. It did mean stitching the outline more than once, but when I had finished all I had to do was to trim the edges like an applique. It took a bit longer, but no nasty happenings! The tear away just came away cleanly from both sides. (I didn't take a picture when I made the first one so I made another!)

I often use wss under an applique, just for security, especially when the background is terrycloth or fleece - or ribbons or bunny ears. As I know and demonstrated more than once if something can go wrong it often will :)
