I think each machine has its own personality and favorite brand of thread. If it doesn't like a thread, it'll let you know. Unfortunately, it is a trial and error process. Sometimes a machine won't like an entire line of thread, and sometimes just one color in a line. So far, my Babylock likes all those brands, but my Bernina can be picky.
The only brand that gives me any trouble on my Brother Innov-is 4000D is Coats. Your machine may be okay with it. I'd suggest doing a small test design stitch out with the thread before trying it on the design you wish to use on your project. Happy stitching!!!
They are all good brand. I think it might be a case of trial and error. Let us know how it goes
Good deal! I have had Babylocks and Brothers and used multpile brands of threads with no problems. It all depends on how your bobbin tension is set at the factory. I mainly use poly thread, since I do a lot of clothing and quilts, but have rayons that I use for fsl.
My Brother machines are very picky about which threads they will use so you may find some of these will not work with your machine. But at that price you are bound to find enough that will work to make this a very good buy, If you find a spool that is constantly shredding or breaking just throw it out, it is not worth the frustration, or just use it for the bobbin thread. Good luck.
DMC, Madeira, Coats are all very reputable brands. Sounds like you had a bargain. I use a wide selection of brands so enjoy using them. Did you see the recent TV programme on Coats and Paisley, it was excellent?
