Lovely for any kitchen. Would also make a great pad holder for grocery list in the kitchen.
Love this design - both the sunflower and the rod idea. Thank you for sharing this idea with us. I will have to see if I can find them. I agree with others. Lucky SIL and class!
Awesome design and Great work done....Gorgeous!!!!
Very nice love the idea. Just a silly question if you wrap the wooden dowels is cling wrap would that be ok for the laundry , just thinking of waterproofing.
That might work but if any moisture gets inside the plastic it could get trapped and then there is a great chance of mold or mildew.
I agree with gwillmann...don't think cling wrap would be a very good idea...
Love it for sure You are good at what u do hugs Carolyn
Very nice towel holder. I just love that sunflower design! Wonderful use of "unusual" sewing items....
Kim, your sunflower towel holder is lovely! The Lucite rod is such a clever idea. Thanks for sharing.
Kim I just love that design. I have also wondered if it can be designed in such a way that one could slip the dowel, chopstick etc into a pocket and it could be removed before laundering.
Yes it absolutely could be designed so that the support rod could be removed......but if you are using the Lucite or plastic rod, there would not be a reason to remove it...
Beautiful. Did I miss where you were going to reveal the trick for making the bottom sturdy for the weight of the Towel?
Thanks never heard of plate pegs. The bottom picture looks like what we call Contact sticky backed plastic what is it?
For any Australians who may read this post the Lucite rods are available here.
Fabulous design Kim, I particularly love the wide satin stitch. Well done on another great project, your SIL will love it. Love Chris
