Apologies this is sideways and unfinished. My sister in law has just retired as a head teacher and I decided it would be fun to make her a cushion with Retired on. She always chooses purple and this has lilac thread on. Sadly the colours don't show well. The font she chose is Comic Sans as it was the one she used for everything in school. She is taking it home to finish the cushion. They all decided that a embroidery machine is on their wish list. The most interested in the machines was her son in law and he asked some very interesting questions about machine embroidery.

Yes it is fabric and its the first time I have embroidered on velvet. I used a layer of wws when embroidering. Thanks *4u

I wanted to give her something to celebrate her retirement and she is interested in my machines but not seen them working. That's the disadvantage of living far away from each other
