Quick update from South Florida. We were lucky the eye didn't hit here as expected - but, I feel very bad for those it did impact. We lost power early yesterday (Sunday), winds started on Saturday and didn't stop until early this morning (Monday). Neighborhood street began to flood and twice during the storm, my dear Hubby went out and cleared the storm drains which allowed the water to go down. It is very muggy and hot here - lost a tree and much debris but we are all well. Hope we get power soon. We were so very fortunate, I appreciate everyone's prayers and concerns - we will stay for a while and help with neighborhood cleanup. I check back in when I can! Again, my thanks for all!!! Laura

I'm so pleased to hear that you are o.k. Laura. What a dreadful time for all concerned. It's so kind of you too to stay behind and help those less fortunate than yourselves. God bless you all, love Chris

So glad you are fine. Clean up is going to take a long time for Texas and Florida. Stay safe and take it slow.

Laura, I am so glad you fared well. I watched the news trying to keep up with it on The Weather Channel and CNN. I hope the neighbors realize what your husband did to help with drainage, so they will do it next time. I am also glad you all will stay to help with clean up. If everyone pitches in, it makes clean up easier.
They are still cleaning up in Texas. Church groups from here are going in and helping clean-up, even today my SIL and daughter are there.
Again I am so happy, thankful, and relieved to know you are all okay.Toogie

Thanks for checking in so quickly. And a huge thanks to you and your hubby. You efforts made a huge difference for all who lived nearby. I hope others hear about. what your handsome hubby did and realize they
can save a street too. Hugs for you all and my hubby says a high five to your hubby.
