I think the two you mention work in different ways so produce different results. (None look good close up!) Both are very stitch heavy.
I've used the Embird Sfumato and had mixed results. It allows you to outline the part of the picture you want to use and then produces a monochrome design, I tinker with the density settings until I'm happy with the result - or scrap it and look for another picture! I don't like a dense, "coloured in" look and aim for something like the picture of my sisters.
I've had the best results with people and churches.
Thank you so much for the examples, and the advice those are beautiful, indeed I am very pleased, still be able to do something with the pattern itself .I think now which one is best for me.
Like asterixsew I immediately thought of spendlove, who made a number of lovely designs using Embird. Here's a link to one of them.
It is a module I did not buy for Embird, as my 6D has a photostitch module as well - and I do not particularly like that one, which might be user's error.
Check out John Deer's program. I have the freebie giveaway program from one of his seminars and it is almost the full program.
Hi I can't answer your question but I can bring it back to the top. I know spendlove uses Embird and has created some great designs in photo stitch
