Hello ***I finally got to sew something today***I am still trying to get my old singer girl to sew on this leather but she hates it no matter what i do sew i can't sew close to the edge **but oh well ****will dig other another machine tonight***Can u see the nice Quilting lines a friend did for me ???I think they add to it ??What do u think???Thanks for LQQKING!!!Hugs Carolyn

Looking good.
Have you tried putting some tearaway along the edge where you want to stitch to see if that stops the grabbing?
Or just a thought try overlocking ( serge it ) the Leather edge.

These trays you'd made look great. Wondered does 1 of your machines possibly have a leather sewing setting? My mechanical machine has one with a button that pulls out on the side.Thanks for sharing your work. :~D

Love the quilting design on the racoon tray. Came out good. The one with the rifle will be loved by the guys. The fabric almost look like they have been patched. Hugs, Mary

no fraying i sewed close to the edge and leatherette won't fry ever

I love that raccoon design you chose! He's very handsome! My older machine does not have all the feet that were made to work on newer and/or more difficult fabrics. If you have some scraps of this fabric, maybe testing different feet might help.

BTW...how many machines do you have? Are some of the feet interchangeable with the machine you used to do this?
