How do you make your petti-skirts Kim?
I bought the ones for the girls at Amy's wedding and I notice that they take metres of fabric.
I love frilly petticoats and this outfit is just beautiful. I agree with the others, I do hope you have pictures of all your Great-nieces in them.
Love Chris
The Petti-Skirt is the original Kaiya Eve Petti-Skirt pattern...I got it from the Martha Stewart website about 10 years ago...the designer was a guest on Martha's show and one of the stipulations of the show was that any pattern/recipe/etc. shown on the show had to be made available...my niece wanted a Kaiya Eve Pettii-Skirt for her daughter (Leah) but they were VERY expensive...started at $250.00! When I saw Marth's show and they were featuring Kaiya Eve Petti-Skirts I was thrilled as the pattern was offered as a download from the website...it is constructed beautifully...My first one was for Leah (her picture is below)...and I have made one for each one of my great-nieces for their first birthday ever since I made the one for Leah...the one for Ava is number seven...and one left to go for Charlotte...all of the girls love them...so they are worth the effort!
always enjoy looking at your projects, Kim. another lovely design and would make a cute 1st bday photo. Hugs, Mary
Wonderfully made. Love the skirt. I can see why it took so long to make. Ava is a very lucky girl to have you in her life!
Hi Kim these are just so adorable i hope you will havesome pictures of them being modeled....soozie
Wow! I can see that they reaquire a lot of work. You are a very talented lady to create such fabulous things. It'd be fun framing a photo of each great niece when they were 1yo and lining them up on a wall....and maybe underneath a photo of them when they are 10.
So darling, Kim.....love this outfit and I can imagine the frilly stuff being difficult to work with........
OMGosh!!! These are so adorable. I don't like them.....I LOVE them! What a lot of work and a splendid idea.
What lucky nieces to have you for an aunt. I'm sure they've all been adorable and felt every inch the princess, and this one will be no exception.
Beautiful work Kim. I know how fiddley onesies can be trying to get them on a hoop. You are an aunt in a million.
Angie...here is Leah...the one that started the tradition..she is 10 now...how time flies...
I can just picture it. She will look adorable with all that fluff and adornments. Hopefully you have pictures of all your nieces in their 1 year outfits.
Oh My Goodness! These are adorable!! She will be a super awesome princess. Hugs, Barba
Absolutely adorable!! Even the back of the onesie - so cute!!
Ava will look a pretty princess in her birthday presents
