October has always been the worst for fires. I send prayers for all of California not only for the people but all the little critters..... God Bless..

We are about 25 miles south of Santa Rosa and the smoke is really bad. I have friends there but have not heard of anyone evacuating. It is not only the neighborhoods that have been destroyed, but all the businesses that are no longer viable. One high school is only about half standing, It was a fire storm of huge proportions and is spreading east into Fairfield. .

1,500 homes destroyed the last time I heard. I saw one poor man on this morning news - the only thing he had left from his house was the mailbox. The whole neighborhood was ashes.... so heartbreaking.

Air quality is terrible but I am not complaining. The fire is not close enough to be a danger. It is incredible how many homes have burned down. Looking at the disasters around the world makes me so so sad.
