Cuties, I found this organization and I just wanted to let you all know that help is needed.
http://www.quiltsforkids.org/
(quiltsforkids dot org)
It is called Quilts For Kids (QFK). There are quilting groups all over the country and in Canada too that make quilts and donate them to hospitals, fireman, policemen, foster children, and other organizations that give quilts to kids that need to know that there are people that care about them or need a kind gesture that will always remind them that they are loved.
Quilts For Kids is in need of fabric, funding, and quilters which will make all the difference in the world to the millions hospitalized children nationwide alone. Even if you cannot help with these, we all buy fabric. If you go to the QFK website and check their list of partners, you could purchase your fabric from a source that gives back to people in need. For example...
Timeless Treasures (ttfabrics dot com) donates 10% of net sales to QFK, so you’re supporting a great cause with every purchase.
Quiltybox dot com would make great Christmas gifts for those quilters in your life and if you purchase a subscription gift, they donate 5% to QFK.
There are many more examples and partners that do this. Help the world just by making a purchase for something you would already do on a regular basis.
I just wanted to share with the hope that this inspires someone and hopefully doesn't bother/pester people. Check out their website to see how you could help or to meet new people in your area through their workshops and local chapters. Spread the love!
Love and Hugs to all!!
