Update: Thank you again for all prayers. My aunt is being sent to rehab at the local care center in her home town. Things are under control and going as well as can be expected. The process of healing can truly begin and God willing she will do well. Thanks hugs to all.

Many years ago, my most precious Grandmother lost her leg, also just below the knee, as a result of Diabetes. You know she was 69 and such a fun loving person, she never missed a beat and before long she was up dancing on her prosthetic leg. We women are strong, because we have the combined strength of our sisterhood and our faith supporting us.

Early this morning her name was whispered to our Father.

This has bought such a lump in my throat as my grandson had his leg amputated 18 months ago. I can see by your post that you are extremely fond of your Godmother. Just be there for her. It is a huge thing to come to terms with. I will be thinking of you today. Wishing your Godmother a speedy recovery. Hugs to you.
