Hello Cuties, I am feeling rather smug about this, even though it took me most of the day-lol-This is my version of Santa's cookie and milk placemat (too big for a mug rug).

I used Cute Embroidery's Santa on the lower right corner (see link below) but I omitted his pockets by skipping those stitches (I hope you don't mind Ms V).

The gingerbread man was from ages ago, just filed as gbman. I have the gbGirl, too but no idea where they were from, but I downloaded in 2012. The outline is off leaving empty spaces, so it is a good thing it's on a busy fabric square. All in all I am satisfied.

I made a pocket for his cookies (see 3 rd photo). And lastly, I remembered my 'Toogie' brand!

I hope you like what I came up with and also hope it excites Miss Nora! Have a great day or night my friends!-Toogie

Fabulous Job Toogie.
I have lots of Santa and Cookie designs so I could follow your lead and make some.
You are such an inspiration. Thank you.

What a great mat for Santa's cookies and milk. I think you did a Nora-praiseworthy job. You are a thoughtful grandmother.

No different than you, but thank you. She came by and chose the newest green one, so I guess this blue is for little Rylan.

Such a beautiful work!
Love this mat. Think Miss Nora will love it too.
Toogie the designs are from a set - CharmingStation-ChristmasCookieSet. The gingerbreads come with some other cookies: rendeer, candy-cane star & stocking.

I had a look... this set is always free in their Yahoo group files.

I found the rest of them today, on my computer, and it is as you say, from Charming Station.
Nora chose the green one I just posted.

Glad you love it! It's easy to be a good Gram when I hear her say 'I love you Gram!'

Wendyy by Wendyy 01 Dec 2017

AND those are the best 4 words to hear. I too love it.

toogie by toogie 01 Dec 2017

Wendyy, when she comes I hear it at least once a day, but most days more. Just out of the blue she tells me. I love it too.

Thank you Mrs Lillian, you know we do anything to make our kids happy. I made this without Nora and a good thing too. She would have lost interest as long as it took me-lol-also I worked with a stopped up ear. I feel like I'm underwater.....

Thanks, although the original idea and ITH design came from another site, I thought I could put something similar together with what I have.

Of course not!-lol- I could only wish for Santa to bring me a machine with a BIG emb field! ..another LOL
I did a background stipple ITH though, on each square, then embroidered what I wanted on each. Centered and then cut to size 6 1/2 square taking 1/2 inch seams, when I sewed my blocks together. I ended up with a whopping, nearly 12 inch square....I bet you could design something like this ITH though!....
