When we were up at our friends' place in the Hunter a couple of weeks ago John and Deirdre had hundreds of lemons on their trees. I've got 40 sitting here in my fruit bowl and big glass vase! I love lemons and I'm with rescuer,
"Lemon tree, very pretty and the lemon flower is sweet, but the fruit of the poor lemon is impossible to eat"! Love Chris
I have a big glass bowl of these sitting on my table....not my tree, a friend brought them over.
Your tree looks like my friends, just loaded. Another friend has satsumas hanging, full on her tree like this. Have some of those too. Not only good to eat but pretty to look at too.
Satsumas are a japanese hybrid from mandarins and oranges. They are sweet, seedless and easy to peel.
Wow how lovely , I bet the smell is gorgeous xx
big hugs from London

Let me just get my piggy-bank out... I will be there as soon as I have enough $$$
;)
It is a lovely tree and I have had a song in my head ever since I glanced at your post. lol
Just looks wonderful and must be a most useful tree to have in ones garden
I will be right there hehe Beautiful crop and tree! Lucky you!
If you are stuck (how glorious) with all those lemons you can juice them and freeze the juice. It looks like you will have enough juice for about a year. That sounds yummy to me. Enjoy.

I always freeze some. Put them into ice cube trays whenever I need some for cooking.
If you need lemon recipies just ask . My tree looks similar and much to my amazement it already has blossoms with this crazy weather we are having.
hello dear,
a couple years ago I rescued my flowering quincetree with a cotton bedsheet and a few clothes pegs over night. My neigbour came home very late that evening an got the fright of a lifetime by my wavering white bedsheet. It was late may. This cold period is called "Eisheilige" in Germany. The sheet must be sprayed with cold water to prevent the fruit or blooms to freeze.
We learn more than embroidering and sewing here on Cute. I never heard of spaying with water either.
Several years ago we had a frost period in end of april while my cherrytree blossomed. It was to big to be covered. I sprayed the whole tree with water late that evening. The blossoms were brown next morning but it was enough protection for the pistils to develop fruit. That year it was the only cherrytree with plenty of fruit in the whole area.
My DH eats at least 2 lemons a day. Wish I could come and get some. Rather a long journey from S. Africa 😀
Wow! What a bumper crop! Wish I could come and enjoy some lemonade.
oh I would love to come and make lemon pie/ lemonade and marmelade with you...........if wishes would come true......The tree is gorgeous
I think you need to get your lemon recipes out. Can you cover the bush with sacking to keep the frost at bay..
