I like them both but think that the snowman is adorable. The stripes set him off.
Your should win with snowman, it is perfect and beautiful!
The design for the second block is supposed to look like a Christmas tree.
it does. And its very pretty! You maximized the appearance of the fabric in both blocks! It doesn't look nearly as nice when it's a plain piece of fabric. Great job.
Ooh! this looks fabulous. I love how you have angled the pieces of fabric inside the square. And the 'Cute' snowman design from here is perfect for the fabric. I love the black final border and also the red you've put on at the finish.
Are you putting all the squares together from the rest of the group, or do you get to keep it? Love Chris
Thank you. There will be a drawing among participants, the lucky winner gets all the squares.
Love it!!Awesome fabric and design!!!!Well done
That is wonderful use of that fabric! Everything is lined up so perfectly and the threads you used for the snowman really goes well with those colors. What kind of stabilizer did you use for it? I always have a tough time deciding on what stabilizer to use with this kind of fabric.
Thank you. First I ironed Floriani No Show Mesh Nylon Cutaway on the back then I floated Medium TearAway.
Excellent. You maximized the look of that fabric.
Love this!!! The design is darling and goes so well with the fabric...
Great work. You really were up to the challenge
He IS a true Cutie! You were well up to the challenge, too. You have done a lovely job. So where does this specific fabric come from, if you don't mind saying? It reminds me of wrapping paper I had at one time but makes a nice block. How is the block assembled, by sewing or embroidery machine? Great work.! Toogie
I did not get any of the selvage so I do not know where the fabric is from. Maybe another cutie will recognize it. Since the 12 inch block is bigger than my largest hoop, after embroidering the snowman, I stitched the block together the old-fashioned way.
I like the pattern of the block. Does the block have a name? Also, is the black border the outer edge of the block or is the red included in the block? Sorry for all the questions but I think it is so pretty.
