I also have 350 e. I use flash drives have 3. There was a post not long ago here to organize your files. With the flash you do most of the work on the computer then download. It makes it easy to backup as well. They can be bought at any electronic store I get at Walmart or staples here.*4u
I have a janome 350e, and I just use flash drives, they are a lot more convenient, no need for a card reader. Plugs into both computer and machine, and customiser11000 should recognise it. A big welcome to *Cute*, hope you love it here as much as we all do. Love, hugs and flowers for you sweetie.
I have the 300E and love it I buy my flash cards on ebay but you can also use a memory stick
have you tried BSK's shop on eBay? They used to have a large warehouse and shop in Bedford which supplied a huge range of sewing and knitting machines. I used them a lot when I machine knitted many years ago. Jo
newdawn, WELCOME to the 'CUTE' family - we hope you find an answer here and post others and comments to ours, too! *4U
Hi newdawn. Welcome.By memory card I assume you mean the flash cards that you put in your machine. You should have been given 1 by your dealer, and you will need a card reader so you can transfer you designs from your computer or CD to the card. You only need 1. I am not sure what you mean by converting clipart. They are usually vector images which have to be converted to an embroidery design. You can do it with your customizer but it will be very limited in what you can use them for.You will need a digitizer to convert clipart into embroidery designs. Did you not get any free lessons on the customizer and machine from your dealer when you purchased it? If you have any queries it is always a good idea to go back to your dealer. I have a MC300E.Ricky.
i just have the customizer software, but been thinking of getting digitizer jr , but its so expensive and i dont know if i would be able to use it enough to get my money back as the software is 250 new and trying to get a second hand one is like looking for gold so if you have any ideas as to where i could obtain a cheap one or copy i would be gratefull
Welcome. Hope you have lots of fun here as we all do. I got my card ( presuming the card that looks like a camera card for the reader that goes into the machine) from my janome dealer that I bought my 300e from . You will enjoy many happy & frustrated hrs on it. All trial & error. Don't give up. The rewards are endless. :)
Welcome to the Cute Family .They are all so helpfull. You retired from working in Age Care too? .I have a 300e .The answer for you has been done . The Embird program is great You can get a free try run from it's site .

Good for YOU on the new machine! Welcome to "Cute". Hope to see you around alot.;)
OH, by the way, newdawn, did you ever know a lady called Violet Jones (married name) who went by the name of Bib, bit of a mischeif maker, she is about 70 now but used to live in your area and worked at the potteries. Her husbands name was Lawerence, but went by Laurie I think. She used to be a neihbour of mine when I lived in Perth Western Australia.
do you mean the memory cards with designs on them? I have the 300E but have embird to convert files if not in JEF format and put them on a compact flash card using customizer, to insert into the machine. Otherwise, when downloading I select JEF format. I also have other discs not necessarily Janome cards, but they are multi-format so I select JEF and use customizer to format and transfer onto flash card. Does this help at all? I have never actually bought a Janome memory card at all. They all seem to be for the 9000 which I have been told is not compatible with the 300/350E models. So long as you have customizer to format and transfer to USB or compact flash, or whatever method you are using for 350E to get the design to the machine, you are ok.
OH, welcome to cute and flower for you. IF none to of this makes sense, let me know. IF not back to you soon, will look later in day.
Welcome to the 'Cute' family. Sorry I can't help you. *4U
Welcome,New dawn,I see you are from Wedgwood country. I don't have any Wedgwood patterns, but my daughter does. I don't know any thing about janome machines, I'm sure some one will help you. Since you are new, you need many flowers.
If you are talking about the Compact Flash card, I suggest a camera store. You will want a 16 MB or at the max a 32 MB card. Anything more is a waste and you will spend alot of time searching for your designs. I was sold a CompactFlash PC card adapter (used for the notebook type computer) the CompactFlash card goes in it and it plugs into the slot in my 300E. I bought my reader writer at Walmart but the are available on line, camera stores and computer stores. I love my machine. I make alot of personalized gifts that are very well recieved with it.
Your local Janome dealer should have them... this is where I go in the San Diego area, but they also have an internet business. Welcome to the CUTE family.
