My initial is Carol and I love dogs! I have two furbabies babies. That was very rude of the lady to tell you she doesn't need one. I would happily accept it!
Thank you, Carol. You are so sweet, if you lived here in Berlin, Germany, I would gladly give it to you. :-) Wish you a Merry Christmas! Mary
Sorry the 'lady' didn't need this beautiful gift but I have no doubt it will soon be someone elses treasured possession.
My sister Christine who passed away in November 2016 would have fallen in love with it, she loved dogs and any item handcrafted was appreciated by her. She would have been 75 today (24th Dec) Your beautiful bag gives me happy memories of her, thank you.
Seasons Greetings,
Eilis
Thank you, Ellis, I feel sorry for your loss, must still be sad to know that she will not be able to share Christmas with you. I have to explain, that in Germany, people are very direct (honest?) and they let you know if they do not want it. Sometimes, I think some cannot believe that somebody would just give them something without expecting anything. For me, Christmas is a time of sharing. Spread love. Merry Christmas, Mary
Thank you Mary for your kind words yes it has been difficult but the hope of a new year is with us.
Thanks for your explaination of 'German honesty' like you I am a 'giver' rather than a 'receiver' but as we know it takes all sorts to make up our wonderful world. Eilis
How rude to decline a gift that someone makes especially for one person.
Thank you for your compassion, both of you. But I have gotten over it, it was more hurtful the first time, but this is the 3rd time out of the many who loved my gifts. so let us just concentrate on the positive. Merry Christmas, Mary
C as in Carolyn ???Love it hugs
Thank you, Carolyn!!!! I made it for a dog lover, do you have one? Merry Christmas, Mary
Bless your thoughtful heart to make the bag so special for someone and that happen. I have to feel sorry for her that she could not see the gift you were offering her, so much more than the lovely bag.
Thank you for your compassion, I also felt sorry for her because she lives alone with her dog. I feel good to see so much love from all of you. And as I mentioned, most of the people I gave my gifts to really appreciated them and that made me happy. Merry Christmas, Mary
How RUDE. Sorry for your experience. When it does find it's new home all the love you put inside will be bestowed on the new owner and not the one you intended for. Thus you will be twice blessed. Great job
Thank you, I think so to, because I always believe that if you do or make something with love, it always comes out and can be felt. Spread love. Merry Christmas, Mary
Lovely, You can never have to many bags!
Oh and my name begins with a C!! :)
Mine name does not start with a C :-(
But I could consider it a the C from Cuties ! :-)
Thank you, Cindy and I see you also have a dog on your profile :-)) Wish you live in Berlin, I would have asked you to pick it up.
You are funny Zoefzoef,
Wish you both a Merry Christmas! Mary
I am so sorry you had to experience hurt feelings, after the time and thought you put into making this, for her. I know I think about the person I am making something for while I am sewing. It wouldn't matter if she had plenty, no one needs to be treated like this. I hurt for you. Hugs and more hugs,Toogie
Isn't it a shame that some people have to show their insensitive side? Especially after you work hard on something. That is hurtful and unnecessary.
Thank you, Toogie, love your thoughts and comments, But maybe she just did not need another bag? How can the hurt feeling stay when there is so much love and understanding from all of you!
And Parkermom, thank you for your compassion.
Wish you both a Merry Christmas, Mary
So beautiful!!!Cant believe one can refuse an Awesome like that!!Love your fabric!!
It is really cute and love the fabric, too. Will make a lovely gift for someone ELSE. Christie, Christine, Cathy, Caitlin...
Thank you to the 3 of you, am sure there are a few dog lovers there whose name or last name starts with a C.
Merry christmas, Mary
How rude of that person. It is adorable, but I don't need one - LOL Where did you get this adorable fabric?
Thank you!!! My sister gave the fabric for me when I was home in the Philippines last year. I actually thought of the woman and my daughter who are both dog lovers. Wish you a Merry Christmas, Mary
