I picked this towel up from the consignment shop as I guess I got it there too late to sell for Christmas. I had not meant it to be political and wondered it it was precised that way. Fruit cakes were a part of my childhood and my mother ripened them in tins and they were served with boiled custard at Thanksgiving and Christmas. I regret that I do no have her tried and true recipes. I am disappointed.
Beautiful, well done!
Love cherries. Now is almost the end of the cherry season here.
Hugs, Lidia
Great job Kay. Since I am no longer able to make the fruit cakes my daughter took over the job this year then brought to me wanting to know what to soak them with. She did a wonderful job ! Every body loved them./Lillian
Good question as the cloth my mom covered the fruit cakes with. I do remember she always put an apple wedge in the tin to ripe. I never did get my Mom's recipes as it made several cakes. Thank you to your daughters as to carry on the family traditions
Fruit cake was from my childhood , not just Pres Trump. When I was very small , I was given the task of cutting the raisins into and greasing the cake pans. Pleasant memory. Kay
liked the color you chose and the font. pretty, matches the kitchen towel!
