Be careful making softies for kids. I Just went to use a cute ith design I purchased a few months ago for a kids toy from a site often recommended here only to find out reading instructions it is not kid safe and very poorly made. The digitised design and method of construction is very awkward and apart from finishing methods being really tacky it makes the finished item unsafe for children especially young ones. I am not talking about eyes either as they can be embroidered. This is something integral in the design. It is not even worth me trying to fix up, it will be much quicker for me to digitise something from scratch. Money down the drain as i will never use this design now. Really disappointed too and this was from a reputable site. Looks like their other designs are constructed the same way so am scratching this site off my list for kids softies. Please keep in mind the little ones that might receive your lovely handmade gifts that they are age appropriate and safe for them to play with.

I too would say to let the site know that your unhappy with the design but please don't put the name of the site here as it could cause us on Cute problems

Sorry to hear this, Karryn....would really like to know what site and design you are referring to though...perhaps you could send me a PM...and I hope you have contacted the site and let them know they should put a disclosure with the design.

Thanks Kim thats a good idea. However, from what I can understand reading about safety for kids toys it is not up to the designer or pattern maker to ensure they are safe for kids but it is the makers responsibility.
