How wonderful it would be to be able to knit like this. Your stitches are so neat and the pattern so wonderfully striking.
Here where I live in Australia it never gets cold enough to wear something so warm but I am sure down south in the winter they would love to have it to wear.
With my lousy low blood pressure I`m allways cold. When we went to Florida on vacation, I had 4 lb of wool in my luggage. The first two days my familly stayed inside, I on the porch, thawing and knitting happily away. Ahhhhh.... finally warm.
It's a shame that you can't wear it, but you could send it to me. I'd happily wear it for you. :)
Beautiful. If it was a little cold, you could wear this and be your own snow fall.
What a stunning sweater......you are a master!!
My mom and granny knitted every day from November till February and had no time to teach me. One day when I was 8 years old, I took the yarn and needles and went to our neighbours granny. She showed me to knit the right meshes. My aunt showed me the left stitches when I turned 11. From there on, I had to find out on my own.
I am amazed at the amount of work went into that sweater. Too bad you are not able to wear it right now. No snow in the part of USA where I am. Just rain, but cold enough where I would love to wear a sweater like this one.
The knitting does not take long. I`m a fast knitter. The most amount of work and time goes into the finishing. The knitting is fun, the finishing is ambition.
Your sweater is beautiful!
I, too, wish we had a bit of real winter - cold and sunny - instead of the autumn weather - drizzle, rain and too high temperatures for this time of the year.
What a gorgeous sweater! I'd be more than happy to send our subzero weather your way so you can wear it! LOL!
Your sweater is stunningly beautiful. A fabulous look for you for next winter!
