Very nice, lovely. Also, a suggestion when taking pictures, I put my project on a white background, under a ceiling light directly above and shadows are then very few, if any. Again, lovely and very delicate...
angie do you sew these on your big machine ? i have not done it yet on mine... i am getting a lot of use out of my 6 needle, now that i got over being scared, but this is so pretty i want to do one ... thanks doris
I used the Elissimo and the 5x7 hoop. You make 8 pieces to sew together with sewing machine later. The bobbin has to be the same color as the design and stitched on 2 sheets of WSS stabilizer.
It's lovely, my mother used to make doilies like these many years ago by hand crochet. I she had known now we can do this with a machine, a good design and a patient embroiderer........Great job ! hugs)))
Love the old fashioned look Angie, you've done an awesome job. Love Chris
It is beautiful. Did you stitch the segments together before or after washing the stabiliser away? O my asking as i have tried both ways and found the thread changes colour after washing the stabiliser out
I stitched them together while still on the stabilizer. I never have tried it another way.
That is gorgeous. Makes me think of what I saw my Mom and others making, with crochet hooks, when I was young. Great job
You are right it is a take off on the popular pineapple pattern. I too used to do them in the "old" days with a crochet hook.
Oh my, how lovely. This I cannot do, but I can love it, when others can.
Wow! Your projects always amaze me! You have such a gift with everything thread/yarn!
