I sincerely hope that you don't have the flu.
What stops me (until today) is after Christmas stitching, I've had enough and need a very long break. Breaks over now, though and I'm refreshed.
I had a virus. With the doctors help, I think I am over all but the sinus infection left behind. I'm happy you are refreshed!
My distractions are kids and, currently, snow. It's like a magnet keeping me from my basement getaway! Although when I do get down there I'm like asterixsew and find myself doing some straightening up!
Yes but straightening up makes it easier to find what you have and surprised one by finding lots of forgotten goodies
Straightening up is a thing for me too!. I wear myself out just organizing...
My Pool Boy, Leth keeps me occupied. He's always by my side keeping me from doing anything productive.
(His full name is Leth Argy.) And I have no pool. In fact my maid just ran off with the butler last week. and the house is a shambles!
But good 'ol Leth...still seems to be here. Be cautious, or he'll visit you as well.
.Cold! We are having an extended autumn, no deep freeze here, crocuses and snowdrops are already showing, but hubby loves a room temperature of 17 degrees C. My sewing room is a couple of degrees cooler and having a mild cold I just hate going into that room...
And I am doing a language course and learning vocab takes far more time than 60 odd years ago. Grammar is easy, but cramming words takes hours.
My sewing room is colder than the rest of our house, especially since I keep the door closed to keep the cats out. So I keep a small electric heater in there to warm it up in the mornings when I come in. I go into withdrawal if I can't be in the sewing room each day! Hugs.
I had to look for some particular fabric and the end result is an nice organised workspace :) that kept me warm enough but at the same time kept my machine idle :(
My sewing room is also colder than the rest of the house as it is on the second floor and is over my next door neighbours front unheated passage to her front door. (sometimes I think when people are at her door I think its mine but that's another story)
H E A T!
It's so hot downunder at this time of the year and I must admit I just can't get into the swing of things when it's this uncomfortable. I usually start getting things ready for my Ladies luncheon in February - but that's a hot month too! I've not selected anything for the Valentine challenge. Love Chris
I'm so sorry you managed to be caught by the cold/flu going around. It's so nasty! My chronic vertigo is my enemy. I spent months this year unable even to look at the thread spools without being dizzy. I'm determined to be able to thread my machine this year, even if I have to begin by using only 1 color designs to begin with.
Sorry to hear you are under the weather...usually computer work or digitizing keep me from actually stitching...or sometimes just the time I spend on Cute!
hope you feel better soon.
What stops me from taking part....
a painting the stairs and walls job in the house....
hugs )))
Even though I managed to stitch something for the challenge I find that life gets in the way at times. I live by myself and do not have to worry about taking care of family members and still days go by without finding the time to stitch. So I can just imagine how moms/wife's time gets scares
My machine has been in line at the repair shop for 12 days. I have a design chosen to stitch and I wonder if my post will be after Feb 14.
You should still post. There are many reasons to add love or add hearts in addition to Valentines day. I am sure everyone would love to see your work!
12 days without your machine...seems like forever! I hope they get it back to you soon.
