your getting in early ,nice work
It's Chris who's always starting projects for her Christmas Ladies' Lunch early in the year. :)
Gotta get going early Martine - another busy year ahead and we're off to Canada and Alaska in June! Love Chris
How wonderful, dear Chris! You and your family travel the world. Too late I was reading that you had been visiting Germany too end of 2017. I live not too far away from Rüdesheim and we could have managed to drink a Glühwein with you and your lovely family :-) However, I know people travelling Europe always have a tough time schedule to fulfill but I love how you explore another continent. Alaska will be amazing and, of course, Canada too!
Oh! I'm sorry I missed you Maria, it would have been lovely to visit with you. We loved Rudesheim and this was our second visit to that town! My family roots are from Austria and Germany so it's nice to see the country. Love Chris
They look great. Looks like you used Brown Towelling for the applique?
would have been a bit tricky to trim but you have made these perfect.
With the ginger bread fabric trim it is perfect.
Thanks...actually I used brown polar fleece for the gingerbread applique fabric...tricky to trim with a thick terry towel...but they should wash like a dream!
I saw on Sonia Showalter YouTube channel where she hooped a piece of clear washaway stabilizer over the towels and it made trimming appliques a whole lot easier-less of a chance to cut into your fabric. I love these Kim--so jolly.
Yes, thanks, Patti... I have done that in the past...but it just slipped my mind when I was testing these...last minute decision to actually test them on white towels... :)
Understand completely the slip of mind thing--that is the way my mind works also--but still, these are just adorable and it is nice to see the way other fabrics work with designs. These are such an uplifting project to see--so jolly.
PERFECT! They look good enough to eat!! Thanks so much, love Chris
This is a nice stitchout! The outlines on the ribbon are just perfect. I can't decide what fabric you stitched it on. I thought it was felt, but looks a little fuzzy wuzzy to me. The felt I'm familiar with is pretty flat and doesn't have the dimension of these gingers.
Thanks...it is actually brown polar fleece...tricky to trim on heavy terry towels, but I think it add quite a bit...and it should wash like a dream...
What a couple of cutie patuties.........great job, Kim.....
They are so adorable. Like I said before "Love those tummies"
