Good afternoon Cuties, I just got my second trolley tote made. I figure as this is team related, it could be for man or woman. I fussy cut the fabric and the football is faux leather/suede. I was undecided to use the brown ribbon, on the handles, but I think it ties in well and kind of gives it a leather look. What do you think? My niece loves this trolley sleeve idea as she has a bad shoulder.
By the way, I went back today and bought the rest of this fabric. Even though it was on clearance, I wasn't sure how it would sew up. Since I liked it, I went back. I will be making more, just not this trip.Hope you don't mind me showing this one and that you like it, too.-Toogie

16529I love these. I don't know that I'll be traveling again anywhere but clever idea. Yes, sure saves the shoulders and arms. I think the faux leather is a great touch. Everyone will be wanting one or wishing they had one. I could have used this when I did go to FL a few times and Myrtle Beach.

238Wow, Toogie. I love this. But you gave me an idea to make a wide "belt" with pockets to attach our existing personal bags to the carry-on handles instead of just hanging them by their strap on the carry-on handle.

Gail, I'm not quite sure what the content of the fabric is. It has nylon in it, but also seems to have a slight waterproof feel, of the wrong side. It's not hard/stiff like some are. Sorry I can't tell you more than that.

I am curious do you make a bag then add the wide strip and enclose it in the side seam as well as place seams down back to hold it were you want it on the handle?

I add the luggage slip after I sew my straps to the back and before I sew front bag to back bag. I sew right on top of ribbon closest to side edges and baste to side seam edges. Then finish bag.
