It's difficult to do without our modern conveniences.Glad it's over for you.
My heart goes out to you. It's HARD to live without power when we are so used to having it. I see another bad storm is headed your way again. Please be careful and make sure you have plenty of gas to power that generator.
Glad all is back on and working....hope you did not suffer too much in the way of damage either...
So glad to hear that everything is okay and back up and running. The storm sure hit your area hard.
Yeah, snow is the pits. Only good for snowmen and skiing. I live in NJ, along the 78 corridor, and power went out a week ago Friday. I braved a few days. My sil got a generator for the frig and stuff. Great. cold AND noisy. Then my son gave me a ride farther south to my sister's where it;s been warm. I so needed to wash my hands. Sanitizer might do the job, but you still feel icky. 3rd storm with 11 days or more of no electric. The governor is looking for some answers from the power companies.
The generator are good but I agree very noisy. I think most of the problem was from the wind, I never saw a storm like that before & I've seen a lot of storms both I n NJ & PA
We got hit by Hurricane Sandy for 11 days and by Stormtober-the october snow that came when there were lots of leaves on the trees, for also 11 days. At least it was not cold then. I have lived in this house for over 40 years, and we never lost power for more than a day. They just don't go around and trim the trees like they used to. No wonder pieces keep falling on the lines.
It is times like that we realize how much we depend on energy. I am glad you had a generator at least. It may have been good for the kids to not hide behind technology and be forced to interaction. I am glad for you that it is over.
I agree. It was good with the kids, just to talk and play games but it was cold
Sounds like some rough camping. Glad you're restored.
