Hello to all my Cutie Friends.

It's been a while since I have been on Cute.
I went back to Indiana to be with my 91 year old Dad, as he was quite sick.
While he was dieing, actually we thought he had already passed away, suddenly he had a remarkable "rally" where for a few hours, he was able to beam over every visitor, and large groups of people all around him, thanking him for all he had done for each of them. It was a beautiful time, and later, when he was failing my daughter Lana, who is a hospice nurse, helped him to die a peaceful, painfree, and dignified passing. It truly was beautiful. I am missing him so much already. When he was in his rally, he actually told a huge group of family to go to rememberthedeadeyes.com to see his website. No kidding, there he was on the brink of death promoting our website. We had a beautiful Military funeral service for him with 3 gun salute, for real Taps without a CD. It was just beautiful and honored his service during WWII.
After that service I visited with Mom, who was in the later stages of Alzheimer's Disease.
The very next day we were called to her hospice room, and my daughter told their nurses what they needed to do. She was able to "call" the time of death for her grandmother. The week before this my mom wasn't able to talk or eat. But she told two or three people she would see the angels (Heaven) tomorrow.
We were all with her, I was holding her hand, singing Amazing Grace and other gyms.
We were already weary from planning Dad's funeral, and now we had another one for Mom. Hers was just as perfect for her, as Dad's was for him. We kind of used her quilts and how her life was like a quilt, very beautiful. We received many compliments on each of the funerals.
What a gift from our Lord it was that I was able to be with each of them as they passed from here to Heaven. They were only apart for six days!
I had been lamenting that I wouldn't be there when they passed away, after all that was 1,000 miles from where we live. God arranged for me to with them both. How beautiful is that!
Of course I already miss them dearly. Dad and I worked day to day on our website. I have already wanted to ask him a hundred questions. What a gift we were given that their whole family was there with them.
I am quite convinced that Hospice is the way to help the patient and the family. It is sad but a beautiful time to spend with parents as the ease into Heaven.

So very sorry, Jan..........am pleased to know he was taken care of proudly by the military.....When my dad passed in the 80's (he was a retired Chief) one of the naval ships took his ashes out to sea and let them go with a 21 gun salute.......they sent us a diagram showing us where he was released and they sent each of us a bullet casing from the salute and we each got a folded flag and letter from Pres Reagan.......I made a memory box from it.......

What a beautiful testimony you have given for your mom and dad. I agree, Hospice is a wonderful organization and I'm so glad they were there to help. I know your wounds are deep, but oh what a wonderful reunion there will be in Heaven.

Thank you so very much. All the believers feel uplifted from both their passings. I don't know how one of my brothers can deny the presents of the Lord in each of the deaths of our parents. So sorry.
