This is from Eric! Sorry for the delay, I've been out of it for a few days. I don't really have any suggestions for you, but it looks like you have already got many form the others. I realize I wasn't much help, but, I tried. Eric
Well ;what is the bathrm decor minnie? What kind of sports does he like? Hey mayb he'd like a pin-up U surely know his likes & dislikes, make it something related to work he does, or what he does 4 fun. *4U
I have done plenty of brown towels and find that redwork tigers look great done in gold. Hope this helps.
great ideas from everyone- I would have suggest a nautical theme, but pirate sounds much more fun! Jo
Minnieb, For a friend who is a Tow Truck driver I embroidered a Tow Truck and changed the colours to match his truck, for his wife I embroided Roses. they love them
Eric works on a computer or should I say computers that sit on phone books you have to see it.
What about some fish, or his monogram or a guy in the shower, from marymoore!
we have thought of fish as he has marine fish tanks .now I can't make my mind up
That got your interest, didn't it Maggie? Look at her eyes light up, everybody!!!! Maggie, if you go back a page or two you will find a couple of designs by Marymoore. One is a lady in a bath tub and the other is a man under a shower. And maybe Eric modeled for her??!!!!HEHEHE. Sorry Eric, couldn't resist.
What does brother Eric like? My brother-in-law (favorite sister's husband) has an actual Pirate bathroom (he's decorated it with treasure maps, pirate swords, and a treasure chest, among other things) and I made him a set of towels that feature the "Jolly Roger" flag as well as a set that proclaim "Land Lubber" (for Sis) and "Sea Dog" (BiL). I also made him a shower curtain out of unbleached muslin that is fashioned to look like a ships' sail and has a large ships' wheel emboidered in the center.
Depending on how good of a housekeeper he is, you could put "this used to be white" on those brown towels, or else "Don't worry, these have always been brown!"
Of course, there is always the "Face" and "Tush" (or other name of your choice) option, to be embroidered at appropriate ends of the towel.
Good luck with your gift, and it would be fun to see what you decide to do if you post a picture in the projects section. =]
pirates would suit me I love pirates & boats We fly the jolly roger flag and kids ask if we are real pirates
I like that idea for me, Eric can't have pirates I want them
I am getting black towels
Hi Minnie, is our Eric & your brother Eric one and the same? As for what you can do with a brown towel for a man - a nice border - a embrossed HIS - Eric's initials - just a large E - what is in his bathroom now - go with what he likes. Good luck and don't you forget to take a picture and post it in the projects, OK? *4U
not one and the same but sound very much alike,I would say have same kinda taste, same speach paterns
Dear minnieb,
So sorry, I am not Eric, ... ha..
If your brother Eric loves a specific sport, embroider a symbol of that sport. Or you could embroider a border depending on the designs on the tiles in his bathroom, matching colours etc.
Good Luck.
