Hello Friends

Need your help. In my embroidery design, the outline stitches are getting off the center. Please check the attached images.

But, it looks good in the embroidery digitizing software 'TrueSizer', Why it is so?

Can anyone explain the reason?

There is a gap between the brown and the white as well and a bit of puckering just above your circle, and it happens depending on the stitch direction, which makes me think both stabilising and pull compensation might play a roll.

Hi, this has happened to me too many times. For me, I think it may be a problem with either a kitty bump or the stabilizer has slipped. At the first sign of this happening I turn off my machine, wait a few minutes and then reload the design to work with it. That seems to reset it so it stitches where it was supposed to.

As it is occurring in both colours of the design and on one side of the sections it is probably not enough pull compensation in the design.

That's quite a bit off the edges. it may take a little experimenting to figure it out. I doubt that it's your sewing machine as that Bernina is a top machine, and it looks good in your software...and I don't think it's the thread because that's lot more than a thread's width off.

That leaves me thinking stabilizer or fabric. Sometimes when I'm having issues. I'd isolate just this small area in your software as a separate file to do a practice stitch out so you don't waste time doing the entire design. You can do this using a smaller hoop so you don't waste stabilizer/fabric too. Be careful to save the original somewhere!

Use a heavier weight stabilizer than you used above, hoop it and your fabric, stitch, and see what happens. If it is still off on this test stitchout when using a heavier stabilizer, the next culprit looks like the fabric and/or how you are attaching the two.

The fabric looks to me to be one that has some stretch to it. If it is stretchy, there are several options to work with. If you have some sticky stabilizer, try that. If not, try using a temporary spray like 505 on the stabilizer to stick the fabric to it. If you aren't using a basting box, use a basting box all the time. I use an iron-on mesh when I stitch on stretchy fabric.

If the fabric isn't stretchy. try using starch. I use starch a lot with woven fabrics. I have a can of heavy starch that I use all the time. Spray the area of the fabric big enough so that it is bigger than the hoop. Spray/iron at least a couple of times or until the fabric is very stiff. it will wash out. Be careful to not scorch the starch with too hot of an iron.

I know that in your machine, you can also view the stitches there too. It might be worth the effort to look at the design's stitches in your Bernina just in case there is something with your software that doesn't show up.

For me, some fabrics just aren't worth the hassle. So, it's a lot easier to stitch on a fabric that the design stitches out well on, and then apply it to the item you want it on like an applique.

I'd like to hear just how you solve this problem as I'm sometime have this issue too.

Stabilizer or the hoop has been knocked. It is so upsetting when this sort of thing happens. Hope you come right

My first thought would be stabilizer...looks like the fabric shifted when it was stitched out...or if it is a knit like a T-Shirt if not stabilized properly it will stretch and can cause mis-aligned parts of the design...different fabrics need different types of stabilizer. Not sure what you have used here...Or your hoop could have been hit causing the design not to align properly after the hoop was hit..

Here is a good article from urban threads that helps explain what may be going on.
If you have stitched this design before with no issues and have done everything else the same check that the thread is not caught up on anything. My cat likes to help in my sewing room and sometimes will cause a tangle in the thread, or it will be caught on something that I don't notice until I see something going on like you have there.
Hope you get it figured out

Did you hoop the fabric or float it on top? Also I recommend basting around the design before beginning the actual design. Is the first pic from the software or an actual stitch out? Good luck. Hugs. Nan W
