I like them, too. Sort of a "shabby chic" look that is so popular now.
I like the way it looks! Simply beautiful. It looks like you took an ink quill and wrote a message to someone you love.
Nice job I did the same design and I put a piece of Tulle the color of the towel on top before I sew it out. Then when it is don I trim it around the outside of the design. Works great keeps the knap down and you can n no see it..
Kay I have tried using 2 layers of solvey on top and it helped. This is still vvery nice / Lillian
I like it just as it is! Adding extra topping may help, but I find that doing a design that has fine lines in it always seem to sink into the towel, and I don't consider that a "bad" thing! It was clever to put your name on the band too!
I started signing my work a number of years ago and found the shops that I stitch for prefer it .
I think adding your name gives the towel a "higher status" once it has a "brand" attached to it.
The fact that the stitches sank into the fabric gives it a soft look.
I agree knock down stitches would have helped, at the same time I like the effect, it resembles that "grunge" look that so many like!
Very nice...you might want to add knock down stitiches or stitch over bridal tulle the same color as your towels to hold down the deep pile of the towels...
They look great and are still legible Kay, maybe try 2 layers of WSS next time. Love Chris
Really cute stitch out. If you stitch it again, try two layers of topping. This will create more space "inside" the design, height-wise. Might help, couldn't hurt.
