I have a light weight table that I bought from Spotlight here in Australia and it has the drop down section for the machine to make it a flat bed sewing area. I find there is a fair bit of bounce in it which I don't really like.
I would look at a wooden table and have someone put wheels on the legs that can be locked and unlocked so you can move it easy.
hi and thank you. what is Spotlight? I live in a small town in ILL,USA and don't drive much any more. so post office is the way I get most things.
Spotlight is a fabric shop in Australia so of no use to you I am afraid. Hope you find something that works for you.
I use the banquet plastic (also called blow mold) tables. I have one set up on four little "feet" like you use to lift a child's bed 6" higher off the floor. That is my cutting table and it is so much easier on my back. I got the little feet at Salvation Army (my favorite store), but I'm pretty sure Walmart sells them, as well as the tables.
hi and thank you. I have tried two plastic tables ,they had too much jump in them and the big one started to sag a little, but for cutting they are fine.
Nancy's Notions has a folding metal sewing table that weighs 45lbs. There's also a table that has wheels that allow you to roll the table when it is in the folded position (check the right hand side of the page.)
These tables all have the flatbed and set in.
By the way, I use an 8' plastic folding banquet table for my embroidery machine. It has plenty of space to "spread out" and hoop. It stays open at all times, but maybe a smaller plastic table might work for you.
My regular sewing machine is in a cabinet with the flatbed and the set in top.
I hope this helps.
hi and thank you. have taken a look on line. the latest one is bigger and my friend is taking me up to Wis for the day to see it. this might be the one. thanks again.

Try fiber glass. I have no grip. They work for me.
