No picture, but I sewed my first valance today since 39 years ago when I was making my first baby's nursery! It was supposed to be a simple red gingham check valance, but girls, that was the most unlevel, awful fabric I ever tried to stitch a straight line upon. At any rate it's finished except for my son (first baby) installing the brackets and hanging it. It's weird how life comes full circle sometimes. Will use the rest of the yardage for smaller projects, like mixer and blender covers, potholders, etc. It's weird that I can embroider complicated things, but sewing all those straight lines (and ironing) stressed me out.

Congratulations on the valance and the new baby! I have found that a lot of designs are not printed straight on the fabric making it difficult to sew straight lines. Kudos to you for getting it done!

KK, I know what you mean about the fabric not printed straight. It sure is aggravating working with uneven print when you are trying to do a good job.
Betsey, I think you meant to put your response under dragonflyers comment right below....
I was waiting and waiting the other day for my niece to respond to a text message, when a text did finally come, she asked 'Where'd you go?'. ... I had never hit SEND-lol

You do know that no one else will see the imperfections we see. I am sure it will be lovely up on the window. Hugs. Nan W
