Mother's Day Hand Towels...I love lavender so I designed these after the lavender in my garden...the first one was my "test" and after I got it done I was not totally happy...you can't see the candlewick stitches in the heart and after stitching it, I decided that I needed to add knock down or embossing stitching to the inside of the heart...I made the changes to the design file using a wing needle design, and then stitched it again...much better I think...only wish I had thought of it before I stitched the first towel...but don't think that Marian will notice since she will not see the later stitch out...Thanks for looking, Cuties!

Nice job. I don't know your software, but the font looks like Flair Script in Bernina.. I use it a lot because it is so legible. I do love lavender also because I am a purple girl.

Thanks, Kay...this was created in Janome Digitizer...same company that developed this for Janome also created the Bernina software...it is Flair Script...

Wow, I did not know they had the same fonts.

They are all beautiful. I like embossing for towels, it adds some texture and keeps loops in place.
When using a wing needle in ME the width of the hole made by it is always horizontal, whatever the stitch direction, which does not always give the result I like (something similar applies to twin needles). I LOVE the effect in your case. Thanks for showing.

Thank you, Martine...I think it adds a lovely bit of decoration to the inside of the heart, too...

Thank you, Chris...I have several lavender plants, and some do not produce the lavender for sachets...I wish I had known there were so many varieties before I purchased them!

Great example of how there is more than one way to stitch something! I think that that all three are nice and have their own characteristics. Every mom would enjoy having these!

Thanks Vicki...they are...I really did not need them to "clarify" the details, but I wanted some extra texture in the heart...the wing needle stitching did the job...
