love them, do you have any for the six by ten hoop?
****
thank you...I haven't digitized anything for that hoop yet...so for just the 8x8 and the 8x14 hoops....
This is like asking what one's favorite color is! They both are fabulous and I'm starting to drool over them. The larger one gives me the feeling of openess and would be great for larger uses. The smaller one looks more "tidy" to...like how tidy can white be? But the sqares seem to hold the shape more tightly. I think you said you were going to teach a class about doing this. In that case, I'd use the larger one as the extra space would make it easier for the students to cut the fabric out while they are learning.
These are really beautiful. I am in awe! Did you use a cutwork needle or scissors?
Thank you, Sue...I used scissors...I think the cutwork needles are way too much trouble...
I've had a pack for ages, but haven't got round to trying them. It sounds like a right faff!
I only used them for tiny holes. Changing to 2 or even 4 different cutting needles is a lot of trouble, far easier to cut by hand, especially large(r) areas; with scissors you don't cut the stabiliser and that keeps the fabric nice and taut.
The needles came with a number of nice designs so it is not a total waste of money :)
wow Kim, your doilies are beautiful! I think I like the smaller cutwork best, but I sure do love the larger too. Depends on how you are going to use them. Wouldn't they make some beautiful placemats...GREAT job, I can't even digitize a straight line *Flowers to all*
Just love the job you did. I just updated my software have not use that part of the software yet. By the looks of what you did I going to try it out his weekend Nice job
Oh my goodness..it takes my breath away, it is sooo beautiful. What an artist you are.
I think the snaller ones are more dainty. Love them.
Kim I love them both--you digitize beautifully. I love heirloom anything and these would be so pretty on a jacket, vest, dress--anything.
These are beautiful, I can't imagine what it takes to digitize these or to cut out all those tiny squares. You must have great eyesight. :)
Beautiful! I can't imagine doing this kind of embroidery. Your work is amazing.
Yes, this is my choice also. Excellent work and very elegant! Congratulations!!
I, too, prefer the smaller squares and think they'll keep the shapes better when laundered.
Technical question. Did you use cutwork needles or did you cut the fabric by hand. I like to do larger areas by hand as you can avoid cutting the stabiliser.
I cut by hand...I think using the cutting needles is actually more work than cutting by hand...
