So many times I have read post here with great sorrow knowing that one day I would likely be where many of you have been. The worst day of my life happened Tuesday where my best friend, who is also my husband, passed away. I will bury him on Monday. My heart is broken, but, I know he is no longer in pain, which is a blessing. That doesn't make this easier, but, this was the third major cancer and six strokes. I already miss him terribly, but, know that the suffering has ended and thank God for that.

Dear Millie, I am so very sorry for your loss.
It is heart wrenching losing our loved ones, regardless of the relationship, it just never gets any easier. I truly feel your pain and hope that the memories and love you shared will soon overtake your terrible grief and help you get through the toughest moments ahead of you.
You have my deepest sympathy and prayers to give you strength to get through the coming days without your beloved.
I truly believe our loved ones never really leave us but stay close by, watching over us, until we join them.

Thank you so much for this beautiful angel, such a lovely gesture! The services were lovely and the military part was very touching. The hardest part was walking away knowing the earthly contact had ended, but, I know God has a plan for each of us so I will wait and watch. Thanks for your kindness and prayers.

dear millie, i too have lost my husband 4 years ago, he went through a lot of pain and operations, open heart surgery, he had a heart attack in bed and went to god peacefully... my sewing kept me going, and a lot of cuties to keep me enterained, you too will make it, so sorry for your loss and welcome to our group of wonderful cuties, bless you...lol Doris

So sorry, I didn't mean to leave my name out as I usually don't post. We have been married 35 1/2 wonderful years. He had lung cancer 28 yrs ago, stomach cancer 8 yrs ago and just this Feb. was diagnost with cancer in the other lung which was inoperable because it was too close to his heart. I beg each of you, if you smoke, please put the nasty things down He smoked for 42 yrs, hasn't since the first lung cancer. He also had the sixth stroke Christmas Day 2016. Other than cigarettes, he was a wonderful, kind and gentle man. My true rock all these years. I know Monday when that last shovel of dirt is thrown in, the pain will be overwhelming, but, I know with God's help, I will go on

I thank each of you for your concern and taking the time to write. It means the world to me and I really appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.
