Love the great use for the Rice bag. Also love the Applique designs. where can they be found? They are so cute!!!
What a wonderful idea! I especially love your chicken and rooster. Keep inspiring the rest of us!!
What a great way to use up scraps and help Mother Earth! Did you use the printed side of the rice bag too? I can't quite tell from the photos.
Yes I just made a slip cover and pulled it up over the printed side of the bag. If I look hard at the bag close up I can just see the print through the Calico but if I used a darker colour it wouldn't show.
Wonderful idea! And great use of scraps. You did a great job.
That is what we do in South Africa..Love using them to make purses..Beautiful!!!
Love your up-cycle..Those are so cute just makes you want to smile.
You've done well, in fact appliqué looks perfect. Love your bag. So is the original rice bag plastic ? If so, did it come with a zipper?
Thank you Toogie. It is a sort of heavy plastic type of weave with cloth handles and yes the zip was already in the bag. When you buy it there is a row of stitching about an inch further down that you remove when you open the bag at home and from then on just use the zip to reseal.
Great way to reuse those bags. I love, love your applique!
Great way to upcycle. I love your choice of appliqué designs.
Well aren't you a clever "chook". Love this idea. Mariann. Well done :)
Love what you have done. Recycling is a way to help Mother Earth
Perfect. What a great way to reuse the bag. I wish we could purchase rice that way. I think the applique you chose looks awesome. well done
Thank You. We can buy the rice this way at the Supermarket. Yes I do like the Chooks as well.
