Made this top some years ago from an italian pattern in italian .Had som problem with translation to swedish. But made it in the end. You can find free patterns now in english to download beginning at page 25. pattern was knit and then drop one and that makes the unknitted parts. Don´t know what it is called in english. In spanish it is called carreras and in swedish maska. This pattern is called Top Trilly and you can find it for free on page 36
