This is really lovely - I can't get on with crochet and fine thread.
That is lovely. I wish I could crochet at times. I can still do the nifty knitter. Lol!
Wow, I’m amazed at your intricate work. It’s beautiful.
It's wonderful to be back doing what you love! This doily is gorgeous! I'm not skilled enough to do such fine work, but you are a master crocherer!
Even though we've never met, I'm impressed that I "know" someone who can make this pretty doily.
Thank you. We were taught in school when I was young. It was not my favorite subject at that time. The love for needle work of all kind came much later, but the basis was there.
Beautiful work!! Love Doilies too. Wish I could crochet then I could make them too Beautiful job!. Glad your wrist is doing better and this great exercise for it too
Well, it is lovely! So glad your cast is off and your wrist is better....what a testament to your healing being able to whip this out so soon! I love hand crocheted doilies...I have done many myself and have many that my MIL did...I was sad that none of her daughters wanted any of her handmade items so I took them from the bags they had put them in that were to be given to the Goodwill...glad I was able to fetch them out before they were taken away...
I was able to finish it so fast, because it was started before. Once I saw a bedspread with doilies sewn to the quilt. Looked amazing.
This is beautiful. Just told a friend the other day that a couldn't see why someone would make these on an embroidery machine when we have sew many from mom's, grandma's, and other people who took the time to hand make them. I love theses!
I am with you. I still love them and find working with my hands very therapeutic.
Beautiful. So happy you can do it again now your cast is off! I find knitting and crocheting so relaxing.
I still have a few things my grandmother made. Even then they were out of fashion (and my mother really hated them) but I am glad I have them - albeit tucked away in a drawer.
I love making them!
I noticed your design is made with 14 groups to start with, later 28; rather unusual, quite often it is 16. I think I'll try this out - your picture is so good it can serve as a pattern!
But for now I'll have to test a pattern and digitize Vivaldi autumn and winter. :)
Gorgeous lacework Angie - love handmade crochet. Love Chris
So lovely. I just can't do that fine thread work. Hugs. Nan W
wow, even after 10 weeks you've still got it haha....it's beautiful. It reminds me of my mom she made these kind of lacework too. My compliments (and hugs) for you !!
Beautifully made, so very nice. I love doing this kind of work but like you have not done in a long time.
Haven't work on my quilt since around the 4th of July...Kept the grand children 8 days and nights then a few days after was off on my trip to Canada. Just got home so soon will have to tackle it again-lol
Beautifully done!
I am so glad you are free from the cast. It would have driven me nuts!
