Congratulations on the new Ruby, I also have Ruby deLux,
but this is beautiful designs
Very nice Chris, can't wait to see your completed project!
Chris, I have a question. Do you use batting when you embroider these? I tried to look up all your squares and see if you already told us, but your use of tags has varied over the various posts, so I get only this one when I use the tags you added this time.
Sorry Martine, I never can remember what I’ve tagged I should just put quilt squares then I could find them too!!! No, there is no batting, just medium weight stabiliser. When it’s all sewn up I send it to my quilter and I have the batting put in as one piece sandwiches between the top squares and the backing fabric. Then I bind the edges etc. love Chris
WOW!!! That look absolute fantastic and very nice . . and beautiful.
Wow, looks great, beautiful stitch out, and a lot of fun!, hugs Maria
Lovely, looking forward to the finished quilt. Love the colour.
Hi Chris these are just very classy cant wait to see more...soozie
Hi Soozie, I've got them lying out on the back room floor and found I only have 6 more white ones to do - yeah!! I think they look classy too! Love Chris
Very Nice!! Sounds like the Ruby Royale is a best friend already.
Beautiful quilt squares, beautiful Ruby Royale, beautiful you! Hugs, Suzanna
Gorgeous, Chris....bet it was fun working on your new machine!
Hi Vicki, thanks and yes, it was fun, challenging too as I have to remember different places where things are, but I'll get there eventually. Love Chris
Your qult blocks are remarkable! I look forward to seeing the finished quilt. I can't qulte tell what type of stabilizer you are using? Is it a thin bat? or maybe a light weight stabilizer?
Hi Penny, it's a medium weight double layered as there are around 50,000 stitches in some of them. It's a tear away style. Love Chris
These are turning out so beautiful!! Well done to you and your new embroidery machine!!!
As all the others I love these as well. Your quilt will be a beauty!
I am glad your Ruby Royal stitches so well. Mine is not royal at all, just plain Ruby and I have not had a single problem with it since I bought it in Nov 2010.
Wow, Martine, well that's promising. I do hope mine does as well. My old Designer 1 was in the shop every 6 months or so, but as I said previously somewhere it was a real workhorse! Love Chris
Chris this is going to be a great quilt. I am happy that you are so pleased with your new machine. That makes getting things done so much easier.
Hi Angie, yes, it's great to be able to just sew and do other things at the same time without having to constantly be listening out for the machine to play up. Love Chris
I love Kim's question. If we ask the right questions, we learn more about our craft and equipment.
Oh, forgot. More of the same blue loveliness in your squares. It's going to be magnificent.
Two more beautiful squares! Is there any difference in the stitch quality with your new Ruby versus your others?
Hi Kim, yes I feel there is. The stitches seem much neater and stronger. The old Designer 1 stitches were a looser looking stitch. Thanks for commenting. Love Chris
