Well fone! It is amazing what a can of paint can do. I remodeled my kitchen over 20 years ago,. Well as you can imagine they look a bit grimey and just today I was considering painting them this exact color. It does look nice. The back splash is perfect also.
We had to get the grease/grim off, sand, then kiltz before painting. A lot of work but new (not as well built as these) cabinets were $6,000. for this small kitchen! She decided to put in the hard work and keep these.
Wow, Toogie! It looks like a all together different place. You and your hubby did a fabulous job! I bet your niece is over the moon with how it turned out. What a great aunt and uncle she has!
Looks great in the softer colours. Well done to you all for the final outcome. Love Chris
What a great job! Yes I love the stone backsplash! You and hubby are a wonderful Aunt and Uncle!
By painting parts of the kitchen a light colour is a huge improvement, making it seem to be bigger than before .Just seeing the original kitchen ,reminds me of the kitchen in the house we bought 40 yrs ago.We didn't even realize there wasn't any power points in it, the stove was wired in separately & the oven didn't work.
Wow! This looks great. So bright and inviting. Good work!
Love it. Aren't you through with the house now? Ah, to have a handyman husband. It will be a joy to cook now.
Betsey, not my kitchen, our niece's house and she does love to cook. She used to cater weddings and for country music celebrities that would come to the collision for shows. Thanks for looking.
Wow, this truly makes a difference! Love the grey - lightens up the kitchen so well! Hugs to you! Laura
It does look so much better. She hadn't done anything to the kitchen in 42 years!
What a difference. Did you also put a new light in?
Looking good. Love the Tongue and Groove Ceiling. Sure makes it so much brighter. Worth all the hard work.
I like the T & G too. I found out I also like demolition-lol-I took out all her old paneling in the dining room and took I don't know how many staples out of the ceiling from old ceiling tiles. I also tore out the top of her cabinets and opened them up above as the old brown ones went to the ceiling before (I don't have a photo of that tho). I was quite pleased with myself that day, as I enjoyed the work. You are right about it brightening the room up.
haha-it doesn't go in real life, exactly how easy they make it seem, on TV. I don't go busting through walls!
It looks a lot brighter. This must have been a bit of work. Love the stonework on the wall. It will all look great once you are done
I think so too. I told my dh he could put it up above my countertops, while I go to Missouri, in about 9 days. Going to Jenny Doan's Missouri Star Quilt Co !!!-lol
